19th Atlanta Turkish Food Festival
The 19th Atlanta Turkish Food Festival is a free, two-day Turkish food and culture festival at the Istanbul Cultural Center of Georgia, 591 N Main St, Alpharetta, GA 30009. Postponed from October 10-11 due to severe weather, it now takes place on Saturday and Sunday, October 17-18, 2026, open 11 AM to 7 PM both days. It is organized by the nonprofit Istanbul Cultural Center of Georgia and features 20-plus dishes, live Turkish music, folk dance and a kids' zone. Admission, parking at 192 Mayfield Rd and the shuttle are all free. The festival runs twice a year: the 18th was held May 9-10, 2026, and the 19th is the fall 2026 edition.
The Feast
Two days, twenty-plus dishes, one courtyard. Every October the Istanbul Cultural Center of Georgia turns its Alpharetta grounds into an open-air kitchen: charcoal grills for Adana and lamb shish, a wood fire spinning cag kebab, village women rolling gozleme on the sac, copper pots of Turkish coffee foaming on the sand.
Admission is free. Parking is free. The shuttle is free. Bring the family, bring an appetite, and let the music carry you from the first plate to the last piece of baklava.
